With over fifteen years of experience, Amita brings to LAB a practice shaped by multidisciplinary project delivery and a strong grounding in healthcare and institutional architecture. Holding a Master’s in Environmental Architecture, her work focuses on navigating complex systems with clarity, precision, and care.

Amita’s professional journey spans residential, commercial, institutional, and healthcare projects, with sustained involvement from concept and planning through to detailed design and execution. Healthcare environments have particularly shaped her sensitivity to user experience, workflow efficiency, and the layered coordination required between consultants and regulatory frameworks.

For over six years, Amita co-led her own design practice, strengthening her strategic thinking, leadership, and adaptability. Managing projects end-to-end deepened her understanding of client relationships, business operations, and the responsibility of translating design intent into buildable outcomes.

At LAB, Amita leads healthcare interior planning and execution for international and domestic hospital projects. She spearheads design development, coordinates closely with clients and consultants, and guides multidisciplinary teams to ensure clarity in documentation and consistency in delivery. Her leadership is calm and empathetic, shaping healthcare environments that balance medical efficiency with human wellbeing.
